Sunday 12th July – orchard work party
There is loads of scything to do! Just about anyone can learn to use a scythe, and you’re welcome to practice on our grass and wildflowers. For those who don’t fancy wielding a scythe, there is lots of raking to do behind the scythers, and also work adjusting tree guards and doing a little bit of summer pruning.
Sunday 19th July – orchard work party
There is always more scything to do… Scything is really fun and great exercise! We’re happy to show you the basics if you’re never done it before, and we can also help you get set up if you’ve got your own scythe but not sure where to start.
